Alfredo I. Ayala, or Fred, is a Managing Director and Member of the Management Committee of Ayala Corporation. He is the Chief Executive Officer of LiveIt Investments, Ltd. (LiveIt) and of Ayala Education, Inc., which are Ayala Corporation’s holding companies for its business process outsourcing (BPO) and education investments, respectively. LiveIt invests in innovative BPO companies that can leverage the Philippines and have the potential to become a Global Top 5 leader in their sectors. Fred is a Director of Affinity Express, one of the largest global providers dedicated to marketing production and media solutions, and a Director of HCX Technology Partners, a leading finance, accounting and human resources outsourcing company focused on small and medium sized enterprises. He was the Chairman of Integreon, a leading global provider of outsourced legal, document, research, and business support and a Director of IQ BackOffice, a leading finance, accounting and human resources outsourcing company focused on small and medium sized enterprises. Previously, Fred was the CEO of eTelecare, Chairman of SPi and Vice Chairman of Stream Global Services.

Fred is also leading Ayala Corporation’s push into investing in the private education sector, through Ayala Education, Inc. (AEI). He is the Chairman of AC College of Enterprise and Technology, Inc., LINC Institute and Affordable Private Education Center, Inc. (APEC Schools). He is also the Vice Chairman, President & CEO of University of Nueva Caceres.

AEI invests in both K-12 (through APEC Schools, a chain of 27 low cost private high schools and a joint venture with Pearson) and Higher Education (through LINC or Learning with Industry Collaboration). AEI has also acquired University of Nueva Caceres (UNC), one of the leading universities in the Bicol region, which has approximately 7,000 students, with many well-recognized programs, including arts and sciences, business and accountancy, computer studies, criminal justice, education, engineering and architecture, graduate studies, law, nursing and basic education (K-10). AEI is focused on delivering high quality, affordable education that can significantly enhance middle and lower income students’ employability, as well as expand the pool of well-trained graduates for the IT-BPO and other service industries.

Fred holds an MBA from Harvard and a BA in Development Studies (Honors) and Economics from Brown University. Prior to that he attended the Ateneo de Manila.
