Dr. Chinwoke Clara Ifeanyi-obi is a female researcher passionate about conducting meaningful and relevant research that will enhance the livelihood of the citizens in her country, particularly those in poor rural areas. She has an outstanding record of commitment to interdisciplinary research and development that has won her several awards for meaningful contribution to research development in her native country, Nigeria.

She is a lecturer in the department of Agricultural Economics and Extension at the University of Port Harcourt. She obtained a B.Agric.Tech in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (best graduated student), an M.sc. in Agricultural Extension and Rural sociology (best graduated student) from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, and a Ph.D in Agricultural Extension (Rural and community development) from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. She has published a book and over fifty national and international journal papers. She has also presented research papers in several conferences, trainings, workshops and symposia in and outside Nigeria. Additionally, she is an associate editor to the Journal for applied research (JFAR) and Agricultural economics and extension research studies (AGEERS). She belongs to several professional bodies including Agricultural extension society of Nigeria (AESON), Society for community mobilization for sustainable development India (Life member), Association for international Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) USA, and Nigeria Rural sociological Association (NRSA), the Organisation for women in science for developing countries (OWSD) and Nigeria forum for agricultural advisory services (NIFAAS). She has received over six outstanding awards, both professional and humanitarian.
