Political thinker, activist, educator, painter, playwright, human rights advocate, untiring warrior in the fight to end racial exclusion in Brazil and elsewhere, Abdias Nascimento (1914-2011) is a towering figure in the Africana world. Join us for a one-day event in which an international group of scholars/observers share their insights into his life, thought, and indelible contributions.
