Brazil's new President, Michel Temer, faces legitimacy challenge

Michel Temer is facing a legitimacy challenge as the new President of Brazil. Many Brazilians are skeptical of the fact that Temer assumed the Presidency not through a democratic election but rather through the contentious impeachment process that ousted former leader Dilma Rousseff.  Recent protests in the country along with low approval ratings are testament to the unpopularity of the new President.
