Rebecca Karl (NYU) will present her new book, The Magic of Concepts: History and the Economic in Twentieth Century China (2017). Carl Wennerlind (Barnard), a historian of European economic philosophy, and Rebecca Nedostup (Brown), a modern China scholar, will respond.
