Afghan Evacuee Project Research Assistant

Khadija Nazari is a Afghan Refugee Evacuee Project Research Assistant with the CHRHS. She participated in the Youth, Solidarity, and Exchange Language Program in Turkey (YSEL) by the American Council for International Education, where she had the opportunity to immerse herself in Turkish culture and language. Khadija is a strong advocator for human rights, particularly for girls in Afghanistan through her work with Baleparvaaz. When the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan, Khadija came to the United States. Currently, she is studying at Brown University with a major in International and Public Affairs. Despite the challenges she has faced as a Hazara woman in Afghanistan, Khadija remains determined to pursue her education and make a positive impact on the world.
