Rania El Rajji is specialised in human rights and international humanitarian law and has worked in human rights and humanitarian affairs since 2002, in East, West and North Africa, and the Middle East, mostly in conflict situations. She has engaged on specific thematic areas such as human rights and international humanitarian law investigations, humanitarian access and engagement with armed actors, torture, conflict-related sexual violence, and protection of civilians. Since 2013, she has focused mostly on minority issues, discrimination and migration, and authored a number of publications in these areas. She has a personal passion for the Horn of Africa where she lived and worked extensively, and is a devoted follower of all Yemen and Sudan related issues.
