The second annual Caribe Negro interactive performance series showcasing Blackness in the Spanish Caribbean. The performances will examine the interwoven dynamics of race and national construction in the making of the Spanish-speaking Caribbean.
This event aims to bring together members of the Brown University and Providence community by providing a space to discuss Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic as sites of constant negotiations and struggles to carve out spaces for Black communities.
