Synopsis:

Dog Sweat follows a handful of young Iranians as they try to pursue dreams that are explicitly forbidden by the state, or widely disapproved of by the conservative parts of society.

While the 2009 anti-authoritarian Green Movement plays out off screen, an aspiring female pop singer braves arrest to record an album. Meanwhile her fiancé -- a gay man who gets engaged to appease his family -- tries to distance himself from his male partner. Elsewhere an independent young woman sneaks around with a married man, while her brother, recently returned from studying in the United States, desperately searches for a place to sleep with his new girlfriend without risking punishment by the morality police.
