About the Event
Building on the success of the 2020 conference, this spring's Translation Across Disciplines conference brings together Brown faculty from various disciplines across campus as well as invited guests to present on and discuss a common field of inquiry: translation.
The conference will explore the various ways translation functions and is used in society today by critically viewing its role through the lens of artistic endeavor, social justice, artificial intelligence, pedagogy, industry, digital humanities, multilingualism and technology. Participating Brown faculty are members of language departments as well as Literary Arts, Comparative Literature, Linguistics, Anthropology, Religious Studies, NAISI, and Computer Science.
