The Watson Institute houses several undergraduate and graduate programs. In keeping with the Institute's mission, these programs offer a self-directed, interdisciplinary, comparative approach to policy-relevant learning in the social sciences. They are designed to help turn today’s engaged scholars and creative thinkers into tomorrow’s leaders in international and public affairs.

The Watson Institute houses six undergraduate degree-granting programs that provide students with the resources, knowledge, and skills necessary to be engaged, global citizens.

The Watson Institute houses a unique one-year Master of Public Affairs (MPA) program and the Graduate Program in Development that supports the training and research of Brown PhD candidates. These two programs encompass the Institute's commitment to small classes, interdisciplinary studies, global outreach, and professional and research experience.

In collaboration with Brown University's CareerLAB, the Watson Institute is committed to supporting students in their search for a fulfilling career. The Institute hosts regular career panels and workshops, networking opportunities, and access to visiting speakers and distinguished academics.
