Katie Naeve and Michael McCreless – High-Impact Investing in Latin American Coffee Cooperatives

Presented by Katie Naeve, Senior Impact Officer at Root Capital, and Michael McCreless, Senior Director of Strategy and Impact at Root Capital. Root Capital serves agricultural businesses that connect smallholder farmers to world markets.

Katie Naeve leads Root Capital's impact evaluation program, designing and overseeing implementation of mixed-method studies to identify Root Capital's impact on their clients and the impact of their clients on farmer households. Katie supervises a global team that implements these studies in Latin America and Africa. In addition, Katie works on developing and growing strategic partnerships that present opportunities for us to scale our growth and impact.

Mike McCreless oversees Root Capital's impact assessment and social & environmental due diligence, and is active in sharing Root Capital's learning via writing and industry groups. He also facilitates long-term and annual strategic planning and organizational development.
