It's the early 1970s. Young Adem is living with his family in an Aegean village. He has just finished primary school and wants to work during his summer break. He receives permission from his family to work for Ciber Kemal, a soda pop seller.  As Ramadan has begun, Adem wants to fast but also to work.  The heat of the summer day makes him hallucinate. It seems that this is going to be the longest day ever for Adem.
