MES Fall 2017 Student Luncheon

2017-18 Undergraduate Student Fellow​ Oona Cahill recently hosted a welcome lunch with MES Director of Undergraduate Studies Shamiran Mako introducing first- and second-year students to the study of the Middle East.  Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Hebrew language students mixed and mingled over falafel and hummus as Mashrou' Leila played in the background.

Professor Mako outlined the concentration requirements, and Oona shared shared her unique experience as a concentrator and MES Undergraduate Fellow, who used her fellowship funds for research in London this summer.  A great time was had by all, she and Professor Mako look forward to seeing the attendees at future MES events!
