Liam Greenwell '20 recently attended the Princeton Undergraduate Near Eastern Studies Conference with support from Middle East Studies as a Research Travel Award recipient. His paper, “The Human Stain: Prostitution in Byzantine Religious Conception,” explores sex work in the Byzantine world, analyzing the interactions of the church and the imperial system with regards to prostitution and sex work.
