Meghan Koushik

After graduating in 2013, Meghan spent a year in Turkey as a Fulbright scholar, where her research focused on the lack of legal protections for LGBT-identified asylum seekers. Meghan is currently a research associate at the New York-based Brennan Center for Justice, where she works on a range of national security issues, including mass surveillance, the impact of post-9/11 counter-terrorism policies on minority communities, and racial and religious profiling in policing. She is currently co-authoring a report studying the civil liberties concerns raised by counter-radicalization programs in the United States.
