Alumna Katherine Long '15.5 puts her Persian language skills to use in Central Asia

After completing my Fulbright research project in Tajikistan, I moved to Washington DC, where I work as a project management associate for USAID contractor Chemonics International Inc., overseeing a literacy project in Kyrgyzstan and an agriculture project in Tajikistan.

I love that I'm able to use my Persian language skills in my work and to travel to Central Asia and the former Soviet Union to research and write new project proposals. In the future, I plan to return to school to earn a master's degree in journalism.
