Alecia Ortiz has spent time working with nonprofits on their organizational practices, and is interested in how individual decision making drives progress. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at Brown University. While at Brown, Alecia frequently taught and mentored other students. In addition, she gained valuable business experience as a catering manager and as business manager for a small press. In 2016, Alecia worked in the San Francisco area, pursuing her interest in business development. Originally from Texas, Alecia has traveled extensively in the U.S. and values a nuanced cultural approach to policy problems.
