Aubrey McDonough graduated from Brown University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in international relations, specializing in political economy. She spent six months studying in Paris and is proficient in the French language. She has interned in the Rhode Island Office of the General Treasurer, and for an environmental legislation campaign in Rhode Island. During her time at Brown, she taught in Providence high schools with a civics education program called Generation Citizen. It was this experience, along with her own experience as a first-generation college student, that sparked her interest in reducing the opportunity gap in American public schools. Aubrey is from Wellfleet, Massachusetts.
