Cassie Taylor taught in the public-school system for several years while completing her master’s degree in teaching from Louisiana College in Pineville, Louisiana. She also spent time teaching abroad in Yangon, Myanmar, which led to her interest in international development. After leaving the teaching field, Cassie was director of operations at Sulphur Christian Community Coalition, a Louisiana nonprofit that fosters collaboration among community agencies, local ministries, civic organizations, area schools and universities, small businesses, and city government to provide solutions to community challenges. Cassie wants to combine her education background with her passion for in the field development work. She received her bachelor’s degree in religious studies and public relations from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
