Julia Ladics recently received her bachelor’s degree with honors in development studies and economics from Brown University. She has spent time in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, which sparked her interest in international development. During her undergraduate years, Julia pursued a number of internships aligned with her interests. She worked at the Brunei Ministry of Education, assisting in efforts to benchmark their education system and to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s Programme for International Student Development. Most recently, she worked with the U.S. Public Interest Research Group in Boston, where she focused on efforts to tackle the region’s opioid epidemic, improve environmental legislation, and widen access to early childhood education. Julia is originally from Budapest, Hungary. She is fluent in Hungarian and proficient in Arabic.
