Luke Sharples is interested in program design and management in the nonprofit sector, advocacy for underserved populations, and integrating diverse communities. Since graduating magna cum laude from Rider University with a bachelor’s degree in global studies and a minor in entrepreneurial business, his work has focused on international development, policy, and communications. Luke worked in several capacities at the International Institute of Connecticut, a nonprofit that provides immigration legal assistance, refugee resettlement, and help to foreign-born victims of crime. He was the Institute’s Americorps volunteer coordinator, and later managed its language services translation and interpretation program. Luke is originally from the United Kingdom and has lived in the U.S. since 2002.
