Morgan Peterson received her bachelor's degree in international relations and Spanish language from Boston University with honors. During her time at Boston University, Morgan was the editor-in-chief of the International Relations Review, an undergraduate-managed academic journal. She also interned with the Consortium on Gender, Security and Human Rights researching the water infrastructure development and gender. She subsequently applied this research to her undergraduate honors thesis, which analyzed the effects of a World Bank-sponsored hydroelectric dam project on the local K'iche Maya communities in Alta Verapáz, Guatemala. Most recently Morgan interned for Mil Milagros, a nonprofit organization working with mothers and grandmothers in Sololá, Guatemala to combat child malnutrition. She is fluent in Spanish. Morgan is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
