Two years after the popular uprising began in March 2011, Beshara Doumani, faculty fellow at the Institute and director of the Middle East Studies program, interviewed Emerson University Professor Yasser Munif about the conflict's causes, current situation, and possible future. Professor Munif was raised in Syria and has traveled there often in the past year.
