Scott Warren '09, is the spring semester Taubman Center Fellow and Social Entrepreneur in Residence at Brown. He is the co-founder and CEO of Generation Citizen, a national organization intended to empower young people to become informed and engaged citizens through an innovative, action civics curriculum. The organization has worked with over 40,000 students in six states across the country, become a national leader in the civics education space, and begun to engage in innovative policy discussions, like lowering the voting age in local elections to age 16.
Warren co-founded Generation Citizen during his senior year at Brown. As a student at Brown, Scott was also a national student leader in the movement to end the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, helping to lead successful campaigns to divest Brown University, the City of Providence, and the State of Rhode Island from companies conducting business in Sudan.
