Joshua has spent the last two years as a 2014 Teach For America Corps member. He taught US history, advanced placement geography, and ethnic studies to a historically underserved community on the east side of Indianapolis. While facing the challenges of teaching in a struggling urban school, he became interested in utilizing data to increase student performance. He was able to target instruction based on students’ formative and summative exam performances. Joshua would like to focus on data-based solutions in both the public and private sector to improve the services available to high-needs communities throughout the world. Prior to Teach for America, Joshua worked in the IT sector for LexisNexis. He graduated from William Paterson University.
