The Brown-India Initiative Fellowship Application is now open!

January 16, 2015

The Initiative awards funds for research projects and summer internships to undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty. The projects selected concentrate on a vast range of topics related to social, political, cultural, and economic change in India.

Student Fellowship Overview
Graduate and Undergraduate fellows of the Brown-India Initiative will participate as active members of the India Initiative community for a period of one year.  The fellowship will commence with a funded research or internship opportunity during the summer of 2015 or in special cases during the academic year. Upon their return to campus student fellows will give a presentation on their summer projects, attend India Initiative seminars, and have opportunities to work closely with India Initiative faculty, if necessary.  Fellows will also receive special invitations to attend lunches and dinners with guest speakers.  Funding will be available during the 2015-2016 academic year for India Initiative Fellows to attend conferences and/or organize events.

Please join us on Wednesday, February 4th, to learn more about the Fellowship and previous Fellows' experiences. Samosas and Chai will be served!

The Deadline for the application is FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2015. Please make sure you apply for the appropriate fellowship category: undergraduate, graduate or, faculty. You can read previous fellow projects at the links on the left. For more information visit the Fellowship page.
