Taubman Luncheon Speaker Series: James Jennings
"Spatial Inequality in Boston: Implications for Linking Schools and Neighborhoods" presented by James Jennings.
James Jennings is Professor of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University, and teaches courses on urban affairs and social welfare. His primary areas of interest are community development, local economic development and housing and public education. Jennings' recent books include:
• Welfare Reform and the Revitalization of Inner City Neighborhoods (Michigan State University Press)
• Race, Neighborhoods and the Misuse of Social Capital (Palgrave Macmillan)
• Urban Spaces: Planning and Struggles for Land and Community, co-editor (Lexington Books)
James Jennings received a B.A. from Hunter College in 1971 and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University in 1976.
