Daniel Benaim - Speechwriting and foreign policy: one writer's lessons and reflections on shaping America's message to the world from Capitol Hill, the State Department, and the White House

Daniel Benaim is currently foreign policy speechwriter and Middle East advisor to Vice President Joe Biden. Before that, he wrote speeches for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and served as a member of her policy planning staff covering Egypt.

Benaim has also been a professional staff member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, chief speechwriter to Senator John Kerry, and a member of the National Security Council staff. He also designed and taught a graduate speech-writing course at George Washington University. Daniel received his MA in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School and his BA in English literature from Yale.
