The first round of Brazil small grants awards up to $5,000 was recently concluded when the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies announced the winners this March. The sixteen recipients included faculty and graduate students in the departments of Music, Comparative Literature, Africana Studies, Political Science, History, Medicine, Economics, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Sociology and Anthropology among others. Next year’s awards will be administered by the Office of Global Engagement and the deadline for proposals is October 1, 2014.
