Working to Develop a More Reliable Test for Zika

The Brazilian government blames the incidence of microcephaly in newborn infants on an outbreak of the mosquito-spread Zika virus sweeping the Americas. However, detecting the Zika virus in parents who might have been previously infected is tricky, and Brazilian researchers collaborating with the worldwide Zika network are working to develop a more accurate test.
