In Brasilia, a third of President Temer’s cabinet under corruption investigations

 Brazil’s Supreme Court has ordered investigations into eight cabinet members and dozens of lawmakers associated with President Temer. Officials are accused of allegedly being linked to the country’s biggest corruption scandal. The investigations, which involved a third of Temer’s cabinet, pose a serious threat to the President’s efforts to pass austerity reforms. Protests against corruption have erupted in Sao Paolo in the meantime.
