Akosua Boadiwaa Dankwah

Doctor of Public Health Candidate, Harvard Chan T. H. School of Public Health

Akosua is a Doctor of Public Health candidate at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research interest is on the knowledge and attitudes of Rhode Island church leaders serving communities of color regarding the opioid overdose crisis. She seeks to study how faith-based interventions in the state can mitigate the opioid overdose problem in communities of color.

Akosua also serves as a volunteer director of WTL Health Clinic, Inc., a free health clinic serving Rhode Island's Pawtucket and Central Falls communities. The WTL Health Clinic initiative began from a health ministry at the Empowerment Temple of the International Central Gospel Church in Pawtucket.

She received her Bachelor of Arts from Knox College in Illinois and her Master of Public Health from the Brown University School of Public Health.
