Andrew Steinberg ‘22 is a Royce Fellow at Brown University concentrating in International & Public Affairs. Andrew has a strong interest in immigration, veterans affairs, constitutional law, communications, and conflict resolution. As SCIJ’s Campus Coordinator, he serves as SCIJ’s student point of contact to train Brown undergraduates to provide legal representation to asylum-seekers. On campus, Andrew serves on the Executive Committee of the Brown Screenwriters' Collective, the Narrow Bridge Project, and the Watson Institute’s Student Advisory Committee. His Royce Fellowship research, "No Home for the Brave", explores the complex issues surrounding immigration law, citizenship, and the deportation of US military veterans. He is currently collaborating with the leadership of the Deported Veterans Support House in Tijuana, Mexico to support deported veterans’ attempts at repatriation through legislative remedies and executive pardons.
