Aslam Saja

PhD candidate in Disaster Resilience, University of Sri Lanka and Queensland University of Technology

Saja has been a practitioner in disaster risk reduction, humanitarian program management, and integrated youth projects addressing environmental issues. Over the past years, Saja has been learning about innovative community initiatives and technologies in disaster risk reductions, integrated approaches to mainstream youth and marginalized communities in disaster resilience projects, and emerging trends in urban resilience and environmental challenges. Saja moved to research on disaster, development and climate change linkages since 2013 and now been publishing his research in international journals. Saja has started to write in newspapers and in the social media educating the public and policy makers of the disaster resilience and raising awareness on environmental problems.
