Research Assistant

Briscoe Turner is a Research Assistant for the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies at the Watson Institute for International Affairs. She is a graduate student and Watson Director Fellow in the Master of Public Affairs Program, with an interest in human rights, criminal justice policy, and racial equity. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. As an undergraduate research assistant, she studied how the stigma associated with a criminal record impacts a person’s well-being after they transition from incarceration back into society.
