Demewoz Haile Woldegebreal is a lecturer at the School of Public Health's Nutrition unit, Addis Ababa University. Currently he is pursuing his PhD in Nutritional Biology with a designated emphasis in international and community nutrition at the University of California Davis. He received his BSc in Health Education and Promotion from Jimma University and MSc in Applied Human Nutrition from Hawassa University, Ethiopia. Haile Woldegebreal has more than 8 years of experience in public health and human nutrition and is the author of over 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications. His primary research interests are in the field of maternal and child nutrition, emergency nutrition, epidemiology, health promotion and health service delivery in humanitarian setting. He has been participating in humanitarian activities in Ethiopia during the ongoing drought and flood emergency crisis to assist in the delivery of recommended nutrition services. Haile Woldegebreal most recently collected data and carried out field assesments to assess the nutritional status and feeding practices of infant and young children aged between 06-23 months in Liben Zone, Somali region, Ethiopia where there has been frequent drought and security issues.
