Amid intense political activity, Congress will consider the nuclear deal (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – JCPOA) negotiated among the P5+1 and Iran to restrict Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief. Characterized by increasingly polarized rhetoric, the Iran deal has been among the most contentious contemporary foreign policy issues. To explore the politics and science behind the proposed JCPOA, the Watson Institute will host a panel discussion, Assessing the Iran Nuclear Deal.
