This event will feature a panel on representations of LGBTQ+ people in the contemporary Middle East and North Africa region. Featuring Swathmore Professor Sa’ed Atshan, journalist Antoun Issa, and cofounder of Solidarity with Egypt LGBTQ+ and NOH8 Egypt activist Dalia Alfaghal, this event is an overdue conversation on an important underrepresented community.
