Whistleblower Chelsea Manning, known for releasing the Iraq and Afghanistan war logs, is currently being held in solitary confinement for refusing on principle to testify before a grand jury.
Brown War Watch is hosting a discussion with Professors Lida Maxwell (Boston University), Naoko Shibusawa (Brown) and Sonali Chakravarti (Wesleyan University) in solidarity. Experts in their fields, these speakers will address Manning's central role in the fight for transparency in contemporary American empire.
