About the Film
Maxx (2005), directed by Saman Moghadam, is a musical comedy about an LA rapper, Maxx, who accidentally receives and accepts an invitation to perform at a music festival in Tehran meant for a prominent symphony conductor with a similar name. Maxx is astounded by the warm welcome he receives upon his arrival, but when the authorities discover they have invited a rapper to their event, chaos ensues.
