About the Event
Please join us in New York City on Thursday, May 5th at 6 p.m. for performances and discussion examining intersecting inequalities and body politics expressed and transgressed in visual and performance art, followed by an audience Q+A.
This will be a joint performance by Iranian female artist Moreshin Allahtari and Iranian musician Mani Nilchiani, introduced by Kathryn Spellman Poots and Nadje Al-Ali, and in conversation with the artist.
A collaboration between Brown University (CMES) and Columbia University (MEI) under the series Gender and Body Politics: Arts in the Middle East and its Diasporas.
