Anchita Dasgupta is a senior from Kolkata, India concentrating in history and Middle East studies. Her thesis research revolves around the colonial foundations of international law, and examines how the existing law can be altered to promote the right of self-determination in Palestine and Kashmir. She also studies the intersectionality of resistance movements in the two regions. Outside of academics, Anchita writes for journals and publications at Brown, and works with student activist groups advocating for marginalized communities in the Middle East and South Asia.
