Arash Azizzada

Writer, photographer, and community organizer

Arash Azizzada is a writer, photographer, and community organizer. The child of Afghan refugees, Arash is deeply committed to social justice and building communities, and currently lives in Los Angeles, California. He co-founded the Afghan Diaspora for Equality and Progress (ADEP) in 2016, which is aimed at elevating and empowering changemakers within our community. He also recently launched the Afghans For A Better Tomorrow (AFBT) campaign and has focused on evacuation coordination efforts across the diaspora as well as ending US military engagement in Afghanistan.
