Oula Kadhum

Postdoctoral Fellow, Lunds University

Oula Kadhum is a postdoctoral fellow at Lunds University working on the ERC-funded ‘Alterumma’ Project, as well as a fellow at the London School of Economics, where she teaches International Migration.

Dr. Kadhum’s research explores the religious and political transnationalism of diasporic communities in Europe. She is particularly interested in how transnational activism, links, and networks between global diasporas and their homeland communities are transforming identity politics, nation-building, state-building, and oppositional movements in countries of origin and settlement.

Oula Kadhum’s work has been published in International Affairs, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Global Networks, and the British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies.
