Christina Kata

After her graduation in May 2014, Christina Kata worked as an administrative assistant for Sanford Heisler Kimpel, LLP, a nationwide litigation law firm specializing in representing plaintiffs with claims involving employment discrimination, wage and hour violations, False Claims Act (qui tam), and other claims. In August 2015, she began her studies at New York University School of Law. In addition to her coursework, Ms. Kata is currently interning with Scholars at Risk, an international network of higher education institutions dedicated to protecting threatened scholars and promoting academic freedom worldwide. As a legal intern, Ms. Kata conducts research and drafts and edits reports for the Academic Freedom Monitoring Project, which tracks attacks on higher education around the globe.
