“I graduated in 2006. I worked briefly as an intern for the Middle East Research and Information Project in Washington DC, then started a PhD program in Middle Eastern History at the University of California Berkeley. I finished my PhD in May, 2015 and have been a visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University this past year. I will be starting a position in August, 2016 as an Assistant Professor of the History of the Islamic World at Furman University.”
