Alumna Kathryn Thornton '14 lived and taught in Istanbul, Turkey

Kathryn Thornton '14 lived in Istanbul, Turkey, for two years, teaching English at Bahçeşehir University in its school of foreign languages. She started learning Arabic and received a small Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) alumni grant to make a YouTube series about Syrian restaurants in Istanbul.

Kat and her Syrian husband have recently moved to New York.  She is looking for full-time work in media, production and publishing.
