Isabel DeBré '18 double concentrated in Middle East studies and comparative literature. Her Arabic comparative literature honors thesis analyzed how novels about the Palestinian refugee camp experience can reshape our understandings of trauma. She is currently based in Jerusalem where she is reporting on Israel-Palestine for the Associated Press. Isabel is also applying to journalism fellowships in the U.S. for the late spring 2019, with the plan to be in New York City or on the eastern seaboard for March-May. She is hoping to pursue a Middle East studies graduate fellowship abroad for 2019-20.
