Anna Murphy '19 reports on the Middle East for Turkish public broadcaster

After graduating from Brown in 2019, Anna Murphy moved to Ankara, Turkey through a Fulbright Scholarship. While in Ankara, she taught English and helped run the International Language Center at Yildirim Beyazit University. After her Fulbright was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Anna relocated to Istanbul, where she currently works in the Research Centre of TRT World, the international news branch of the Turkish public broadcaster. At TRT World, Anna produces reports on pressing policies and trends in the MENA region and around the world. She's also been able to contribute to events like the TRT World Annual Forum. Next year, Anna will relocate to London to pursue an MSc in Politics and Communication at the London School of Economics.
